
Revenue and Profitability on the Rise – Detached Housing Market Leader DEN Finland Continues as a Strong Performer
In the first half of 2025, DEN Finland’s revenue increased by more than 16%, and profitability continued to improve. The company has maintained its financial stability through challenging years and strengthened its position as the market leader in detached house construction with its brands Designtalo, Finnlamelli, and Ainoakoti, the latter developed in cooperation with K-Rauta.
“In January–June 2025, we succeeded in improving our EBITDA by more than 36% compared to the same period last year,” says DEN’s CEO Otto Tarkiainen.
Profitability Already Improved Significantly in 2024
In 2024, DEN improved its operating profit to EUR 4.3 million, up from EUR 2.9 million the previous year. EBITDA increased by 25% compared to 2023.
“We have kept our company in good shape so that we can take care of our customers – now and in the future. Financial stability is especially important when the construction industry faces uncertainty,” Tarkiainen notes.
Choosing the Right Partner for Building a Home Matters
For homebuilders, selecting the right house supplier is one of the most important decisions in a construction project.
“When it comes to one of life’s biggest investments, the chosen partner must be reliable, financially sound, and present – both during construction and afterward, for example, if warranty repairs are needed,” says Tarkiainen.
DEN holds credit rating certificates from both Dun & Bradstreet and Suomen Asiakastieto, and the company has no outstanding tax liabilities.
DEN encourages homebuilders to check at least the following three things before signing a contract:
- Credit rating: Does the company have an official credit rating?
- Financial statements: Has the company published its most recent financial statements transparently, and is the company profitable?
- Tax liabilities: Does the company appear in the public tax debt register?
These simple checks help ensure a successful construction project and peace of mind throughout the process.
